The family business was started in 1957 by Somlai Ilona and Mihály. Due to its authentic Hungarian kitchen and welcoming atmosphere it became known as the `Ilona´ by its patrons. The restaurant was inherited by Fodor Maria, the daughter of Somlai, in 1987. Since then she has governed the restaurant and retained its `Ilona´ tradition.
Inside the restaurant Kalocsai tableware are used which bare the restaurant´s logo that our painters produced.
